I would guess that unless you are rebuilding a Bristol, there are plenty of cores, parts and demand (which leads to parts).
Fuel may be the larger issue. The current administration just announced a proposal to increase taxes on fuel for Bizjets. By singling out that market (not the usual taxes to pay for infrastructure or ATC), I guess they are going after the wealthy as a punitive measure or to inhibit use for environmental concerns. So, tax bizjet fuel now (seems like a chore for the FBO, do you tax all Jet A sales..even for airlines or Lifeflight medevac flights??). Next, why not go after the wealthy who can afford $3-5 million warbirds?
Warbird owners won't find much sympathy among a large segment of the public given today's carefully cultivated " 'Them' vs. us" political climate. Reminders of history, WW II patriotism and nostalgia will only go so far.
