Tomorrow, 24 March 2022, it will be exactly 80 years since John V. Newkirk, CO of the 2nd "Panda Bears" squadron of the American Volunteer Group, died attacking an enemy airfield in Thailand.

I did a skin for Newkirk's plane for the A2A Tomahawk in the Prepar3d flight sim a couple of years ago, which I fly often. I thought he might like it, so I paid him a visit today.

Jack rests about half a mile from my house, since his remains were brought home after the war. I cleaned up his place a little, planted a flag and left a screen shot with a thank-you note on it. It's laminated so hopefully it will survive the weather for a few days and educate some other visitors.

Bless you for doing that.
Thank you and well done.

A kind gesture and fitting tribute. Good karma.
