Not much else to do on Christmas day....
I discovered a website that is a tool for colorizing black and white photos and video, Deoldify, and gave it a try.

There are some tutorial videos online about how to make it work, and there seems to be a following on YouTube, some interesting stuff.

Clearly it does have its limitations, as shown by these photos from a couple of Mark's recent threads

It seems to have missed some of the brighter colors like the squadron emblem on the FW-190 and the roundels in the background, but I also did some old family photos and they came out pretty well.

Also tried it on a video of Wilbur Wright flying in Italy in 1909

I found all that really interesting, BE, thanks for posting!

And there's just no question about it, it's always great to see Will piloting a Wright Flyer, colorized or otherwized... :supz:

Also Photoshop has this now. It doesn't work as well as they advertised for aircraft.
