Mr. Smith is a very nice man who was great to work with. I was fortunate enough to be part of the team that put the Seafire together and although he didn't check up on us too often, Jim was always super nice to everyone in the shop when he visited.

Thanks for the link. It's kind of a rare treat to be able to see his collection. He's kind of a low key guy.

I remember years ago the Seafire was sitting sort of forlorn at San Marcos. It is great to see such a high quality restoration and know that it will be well cared for. Late model Spitfires, like the early ones are too rare and most people don't realze how high performance and potent they were. It sure would be great to see it at Oskosh or Eden Prarie.

Thanks for that Bill, We try to keep all of them in good shape as well as looking good. Thats a compliment coming from a Fellow with an awful nice Spitfire.

Does anybody have a serial number list for the aircraft in this collection?

We should remember that the Seafire was restored by Nelson Ezell and his team.
