My sister sent me this link via her Land Rover club.
There are a lot of remote places in Oregon and as you'll see, in some casrs, substantial remains are still there.

It's nice to see that the sacrifices of the crews are still remembeted...often by people outside the historic aviation community.

A few years ago, there was a WIX member who was looking for the USCG PBY crash site west of Grants Pass. I don't know if he ever found it?

There's a RCAF Lancaster at the top of Iron Mountain in Northern Curry County. It was heavily scavenged at some point and most of the aluminum is gone, but still lots of parts. Also a US Navy Catalina at the bottom of the South Fork Chetco gorge in Southern Curry County. It's all still there.
