Any ideas what happened with this one? Did it make it into the civilian market?

Looks like a Timm N2T-1 behind the Mustang. https://www.airliners.net/photo/USA-Nav ... -1/5335257

"An N2T-1, tail number N56308, crashed during the Rocky Mountain Airshow at the Flagler Airport, Flagler, Colorado, on 15 September 1951, killing the pilot and 19 spectators.[5] The Mississippi director of aviation banned airshows in the state that year as a result.[6]"

At Napa, CA circa 1947; apparently not entered onto civil register:

Possibly another RFC/WAA transfer for memorial or educational purposes. A bit of research needed but, if so, I’ll get it added to this list: https://www.aerovintage.com/waa-rfc-listing/

Note the Timm was described as "blue and silver", although it could have been repainted between 1947 and 1951.

Can't recall which airshow pilot said something wise like "always roll towards the crowd line so if things go awry during the second half an anxious pull will take you away from them". Can't say I've ever actually noticed which way pilots are rolling at shows, but then again I've never seen a low level slow roll along the crowd line go wrong.
