Duxford in Danger?

Sun Feb 09, 2020 6:07 pm

Seems there's a massive windstorm ripping across the UK, and it's threatening to tear the roof off the main Imperial War Museum hangar at Duxford. Nearby roads have been closed and a one-mile "exclusion zone" set up due to possible flying debris. Hope everything and everyone survives the storm!

Likely only the external cladding, not the solid roof structure.

It has happened several times before with that building when there is a storm

I talked with a friend in the area earlier today and he said there was no major damages there. The biggest problems were power outages from fallen trees.
