There is a lot more there too. The flight was not only an FAI distance record but the first for an all female crew. The aircraft was the second first prototype of the ANT-37bis or DB-2 and was a decent aircraft, though not selected for military use. The three women were all noteworthy pilots, and interestingly served in the defense of Russia during the war. Spectacular stories.
