I just saw it Sunday week ago at Opa Locka. (KOPF) . We were in a 1976 Falcon 20 and my thought was that our ancient classic jet was the equivalent of the DC-3. That DC-3 looked ancient but clean, no visible oil leaks and well maintained. There were Turbo prop DC-3s in abundance. Sadly, the supply of good , airworthy DC-3s is now one less.

One of the media sites said ( for what its worth )it had a engine failure on climb out and was unable to maintain altitude.

Hello chainfeed,
The DC-3 is in saltwater. If it were a Spitfire or FW-190 then yes. In this case, no.
