Nice shots...I especially like the B-25 with the mountains in the background. Much better than my feeble efforts at the event.

Also, nice shot of the Pemberton Goose, where was it taken?

Also, in your file I invited the old Pontiac ads...or are they yours done in the style of the original ads? (They are some of the greatest automotive advertising art out there, even if, it has been said, they deliberately mis-proportioned the cars).

Thanks much. That was the best show to photograph I have ever been to. And the line up was exceptional, at least for this warbird-dry area (meaning northern Idaho) A friend invited me down and it was a total shock to see what showed up.

The Goose was photographed at Felts. Can't wait for part of the Sessions collection to move in.

The Pontiacs are scanned from original brochures my dad collected. I've loved those since I was a kid and agree that it's some of the greatest automotive advertising art ever. They did exaggerate the width a bit, but the goal was to sell cars. Oh what I wouldn't give to have an original.

Tee, really nice work. I like that the majority of the pics have the pilots in the cockpit and others with the air raft in movement. Maybe this is more realistic of how a war photographer would’ve shot. Empty air raft aren’t as interesting. It looks like a really good show. Thanks!

I wasn’t a fan of restoring Dottie Mae to flight. I thought it was too interesting as a relic. Must admit to being wrong. The owner and the restoration artists have brought it up to such an amazing and beautiful level. It’s now my favorite P-47.
Another benefit of it having been restored and also flown and displayed is it creates interest in finding more aircraft in lakes and elsewhere. It captures the imagination.

Glad you liked them. It was mind-blowing to see her up close, and the exquisite work that went into it. As far as Mustangs, I think the only thing missing was the P-82

Given its rarity...and condition...and back story...that Thunderbolt is the only airplane that can overshadow a Mustang...or in this case...a small herd of them.
