Is anyone attending? I didn't expect this "little" show to have such an impressive turn out.

They have every model Mustang (for the most part), if you want to be picky there isn't an A-36, P-51K, or the Twin, but it looks pretty awesome!

Would love to know what else showed up, B model Old Crow is the recent arrival to cover A,B,C,D! H is supposed to be there too...

I came across this video this morning of some Chino and Warhawk Air Museum aircraft heading to that event.

Pretty cool that just about every fighter they have there is rare to see away from home or at airshows in general. Even the D models, Sweet Mary Lou and Blood Brother are far from common to see! Erickson’s Hellcat too...

The P-51C “Boise Bee” suffered a collapsed landing gear on landing at the Lewiston Airshow today. There were no injuries and the damage done to the airplane will be repaired as soon as possible. It was put back up on it’s gear and towed safely to a hanger. We
are so grateful to all our incredible friends who helped and to Gary Peters and his wonderful team of people! We hope it won’t be long before we can bring the “Boise Bee” back to its home at the Warhawk Air Museum

The Boise Bee gear collapse occurred towards the end of the runway away from the static/public area. I doubt if a crowd was aware of it.


It was a great show..
The organizers brought together one of each model of Mustang...
One A, B, C, two Ds, and an H.
Other warbirds included five P-40s. A P-47, F6F, JRF Grumman Goose, TBM and B-25 (which was sidelined due to brake issues). Plus a T-6, T-28s (USN and USAF), Stearmans, PT-22, and Piper L-birds.
The Miss Montana C-47, fresh from its trip to Normandy was also there and gave a nice display.

Also a interesting collection of "Golden Age" civil types.
Not bad for a free event.

With "Old Crow" being a B-model, and "Boise Bee" being a C-model, they were only really missing having a P-51K there (though there are only a couple currently flying). I saw on Facebook that they put up a photo flight of the A, B, C, a D and the H.

On the P-51 Mustang FB page, in an effort to squash speculation, it's been said that there was a mechanical/sequencing issue with the gear system on "Boise Bee" prior to landing. For those that may not know, the stock P-51A/B/C gear system is also a bit different than on the D.

What was the 5th P-40? 2 from Warhawk, Erickson, Suzy, and ...?

And yes John realistically only Fragile but Agile or Tom’s since Frenesi is abroad... could have happened with one though! Great gathering nonetheless, very impressive group of uncommon birds together.

Frenesi is actually in Idaho, but currently not operational (receiving some work at Pacific Fighters).

The program listed the local Hangar 180 P-40, the E and N from Warhawk, , the Erickson...But I swear there was another one.

I saw pictures of Collings Foundation's new TP-40N there. I don't think it was on the schedule but was in the area.
