I really need some rest :? After three days of beer sun and warbirds I worked a full day today and have spent the last four hours editing these photos. I still have a few more pages to add but that will have to wait until tomorrow. Except for not having any Stearman photos posted it is a pretty good example of the aircraft that were at Geneseo.

See if you can find the wixer in the window and identify the person? By mistake I have posted the photo twice  so it should not be that hard to find

Enjoy

Thanks for sharing, looks like it was a good show. It's good to see Yankee Lady and the beast in top form, they'll both be here in MN in a couple of weeks.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

What a great setting for a show! Grass runway with fields all around. Planning to be back next year already.

WIX Gathering picture next to Hurricane came out great and will send a copy to Scott so he can add it to the collection of usual suspects. It was nice to meet so many people there.

Only started to download photos (see below). Eric is way ahead of me and his photos are great. Will post more later.

Eric,

You really know how to make a guy sick!!! Looking at your wonderful shots made me wish I could have been there. I don't suppose there was any beer consumed? But since I was busy flying Race 57 (you know the big red Corsair  ) at Grand Forks AFB, I guess I will get over it....

Again, Great Photos!

Tailwinds,
Doug Rozendaal

P.S. What a machine that Big Red Beast is!!!!!

All those million and one parts hanging out in front of you stayed in order I take it!?!?!?

As I once told Mike Demarino after he got out of Bob Ponds Mk14 Spit, "Don't fight the effects of the testosterone high bud...But please wipe that sh_t eatin' grin off your face!" Same goes for you!

Geneseo....I was going to be in the back seat with ya this year...at least that was the plan.... Give us a couple years guys and we'll be back in yer face!

Hi "B" (aka Warbirdnerd)...

The Fury at Gennie (which was flown home Sunday morning) was Sandy Thomson's rarely-seen NX1324, out of Mt.Hope, Ontario (but not CWH--ironically enough this Fury is based in the renovated Hangar #3 at the Hope, the building infamous for the 1993 CWH fire). NX1324, which was formerly a project with Neil McClain of Alberta, is on the WRG registry in the Iraqi "ISS" section...but even Sandy Thomson, who just loves the Fury, says it's a "parts" airplane, so not all the current airframe is necessarily ex-Iraqi...much like some 51s the exact origins of all of NX1324 will probably never be known for sure. Certainly was nice to see it on the line at Gennie though. Hope Sandy had a decent enough time that he returns next year.

Cheers

Steve T

Doug, I think we all mentioned how much we missed you not being there with the Red Tail. Friday night we closed down Club 41 and I hit the bunk around 2:30am. I thought Stan Ross would show up for sure but I did not see him either.

Stay cool 8)

Eric

Nothing like waking up to two people snoring instead of one

Let's go on a photography "dawn patrol" they said... let's get up really early they said... how about 5:50 AM so we can be on the field at 6 AM they suggested...

YEAH RIGHT! A nice dewy morning with the sun poking through holes in the cloud cover, and NO / NONE / ZIP / ZILCH / NADA sign of the Americans! Any you guys say you are so though! :P

To be fair I did see Rob first about 7:30-8 AM. But he wasn't quite looking all there.
