Ace Combat 7, the newest release in one of my favorite video game series, came out this month. Normally, it wouldn't be relevant to post here. To my surprise, however, the intro movie for the game features an aircraft restoration. Admittedly, the scenario is rather implausible for a number of reasons, but I figured everyone might get a kick out of it. Also, for an additional bit of relevancy, some of the scenes were "filmed" at the Yanks Air Museum.

In all fairness, Darryl Greenamyer assembled & flew an F-104 from parts he collected from various boneyard scrap piles....so the scenario is not all that implausible... since its already been done.

And at least it's a little more realistic than Fallout New Vegas, where you could dredge up the B-29 from Lake Mead and restore it to go bomb somebody.
