Just for curiosity sake, has this aircraft wreck ever been ID'd? Their site says they don't know exactly what it is. I did a search here and didn't see anything.

The lake it's located in is SW of Munich. Kind of a broad thought maybe but what (and when) aircraft would have been in that area with English language on them?
