What's worse is the coverage given the arm measurements...based on 70 + year old notes, not an examination of the actual bones. Also, the volunteer photo analyst is touted as an expert...while the people at Aviation Mysteries who have looked into the guy are less than impressed.

Basically this is another PR blitz by TIGHAR based on "kinda, sorta..if you squint real hard" suppositions based on conjecture rather than real evidence...or logic.

Or how about the paper's statement, "She was trying to find Howland Island, near Honolulu". It's about - what - 2000 miles from Hawaii?

This rag is a joke, as is the story.

Holy smokes.

Brave people, both her and Fred Noonan, who should definitely be left to rest in peace wherever they are.

And thanks for mentioning Fred Noonan: the rags usually forget that two people were aboard on that flight.

Tights is always quick to blame Fred...recently they brought up his drinking not that there is any proof he was drinking during the flight. But what's a bit of slander when you have a theory to support and payroll to meet?

They also came up with an assertion that AE pulled him out of the wrecked plane after in ended up on a reef. Mine you, there is no actual proof they ended up on a reef. Small detail. In short, they make stuff up.
