There is a group of aviation enthusiasts in Uruguay, coloquially known as "Ratones de Hangar" (or Hangar Mice), so aptly and friendly named by my good friend Dr. Gary Kuhn (a distinguished Latin American Aviation Historian).
These guys are working to restore a DH-82 (British Built, and one of 18 received by Uruguay in the 1930s, never a civilian machine.)
They seek manuals (copys, a CD, whatever, will help a lot).
They need the cowlings, as well as at least one set of cabane struts (so that their own craftsmen can copy them).
Any help, will truly make this project move forward.
These photos were shot today, and I would like to share them with you all.
Credit for the photos should go to Mr. Wilman Fuentes, via Eduardo Luzardo.
Saludos,
Tulio
