Excited to see it flying this year, and scheduled for Flying Legends this summer. A gorgeous and very rare machine. There is a lot of information out there about it with a Google search. Last post on this page provides a brief overall summary of its restoration ups & downs and moves: http://forum.keypublishing.com/showthre ... ht=seafire

Here is the Flying Legends 2015 participants page for the aircraft, with photo copied/posted below.

As reported elsewhere, test flights have now commenced (both yesterday and today), and the Flying Legends Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/FlyingLegendsOfficial?fref=ts) has posted the following photos. What a lovely looking machine, and the only one of its kind currently flying (one of four airworthy Seafires the world-over, each different Marks).

I love that scheme. What a beautiful machine! FL this year is going to be amazing, I can't wait for all the photos. And I'll definitely have to buy the DVD. Thanks for sharing the pics, John.

I think it is the greatest line-up there has ever been for Flying Legends.

I must say I really like the photos chosen for each aircraft.

Also, does anyone else find it funny/odd that both Sea Furies are in Australian colours, at a UK show?

Any Wixers out there who were with the USAF in Europe might recognise the location of those photos, it's the old RAF Bentwaters, in Suffolk. Air Leasing operate out of a trio of hangars there, including an F-4 ready shed.

Thanks Again EVERYBODY ! For all the info. I know one of you WIXERS said it best about, that if a certain War Bird Doesn't get you going, ( or something with an antenna mast ? )... But That SeaFire LF III (Edited) is STILL something else. I Know, I think (?) it's suppose to have a 3 Blade prop & smaller spinner, BUT it sure looks Bad A$$ with the 4 Blades & Black spinner ! Thanks again ! :drink3: Tally Ho!

It is a Seafire LF III and the four blade propeller and spinner are 100% correct. :D

As Peter linked to on the Key forum, there are a couple of the first air-to-air shots here, in-case you have yet to view them: https://www.flyinglegends.com/aircraft/ ... f-iii.html

Thank You Peter ! Makes the Restoration even better ! I'm so use to the "Old Days" ('60s & '70s) when one would see a "Restored" Mk V or earlier Spit. With a 4 blade prop, ect... geek :D
Thanks again John T. for the link !! :D

Love the darker Navy colors. I'd really like to see a Corsair in those marking.
