INVITATION TO OPEN DAY - REEVERS WARBIRDS INVITES YOU TO ATTEND A VERY SPECIAL DAY IN ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA ON SATURDAY 8 APRIL 2017, WHEN WE WILL UNVEIL OUR B-25 MITCHELL BOMBER IN THE COLOUR SCHEME OF THE NETHERLANDS EAST INDIES AIR FORCE 18 SQUADRON

Reevers Warbirds is pleased to announce that plans are now underway to commemorate the NEIAF 18 Squadron of WW2 that was made up of Dutch and Australian personnel who operated B-25 Mitchell bombers. Reevers is honouring 18 Squadron using a static B-25 Mitchell bomber.

The aircraft will be unveiled to invited guests on 8 April 2017 at 12pm. This event will most likely be the last time a B-25 Mitchell will be seen in Australia in NEIAF markings. When fully restored the Reevers B-25 Mitchell will be the only complete example of this aircraft type in Australia.

April 8 2017 will be a day primarily for surviving Squadron members, family members of squadron personnel, their friends and Dutch and Australian officials. To enable adequate preparation for this important day, Reevers have opened bookings and these will close on midnight Adelaide time on April 2, 2017. Priority seating will be given to war veterans, family members, friends of veterans and officials.

DISPLAYS

Reevers aims to have a display comprising of the B-25 Mitchell rebuilt to static purposes to honour the Dutch wartime legacy. Alongside this will be history panels of the Squadron showing information, photos and paintings.

LUNCH MENU

A light lunch menu will be put on for all attendees.

LOCATION

The unveiling will take place at Parafield Airport, located north of Adelaide. A suitable hangar will be organised and its position notified to attendees.
ENTRY
By donation of $5.00 per person (this will cover your lunch meal)

AVIATION ENTHUSIASTS
Aviation enthusiasts wishing to attend are welcomed but they must be aware this day will to be a special one for the squadron’s memory and history first and foremost. Reevers will have the right to refuse entry to any person.
