T-33 displayed at a small public park in Arcadia, Florida. What a sad, corroded mess...

All left outside for years are a sad corroded mess! You'd think someone would have decency to care for it!

With regards to the Arcadia T-33, it looks like the caretakers are doing the best they can in the humid, salty Florida air. The park is nicely kept, the T-33 has what appears to be a new-ish cockpit canopy, the livery appears to have been well thought out and applied with care, the wings are tied down to prevent the jet from being blown over in a strong wind, and there is no apparent vandalism. Still, it won't be long before the airframe is too badly corroded to even support its own weight, and it will end up being scrapped. Such is the inherent problem with outdoor displays in harsh climates. I just hope that cockpit bubble finds its way to a good home.

Can someone give me more info on this? Is it air force owned? Whose the current caretaker?

Was there another jet on display with it at some time in the past? I seem to recall an F-84 next to it long ago.
