Looking for a photo of B-50D Superfortress 49-270 serial number 16044 manufactured by Boeing on 19.8.1949.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I'll take a look in the recent B-50 book.

Sorry, no luck but several close serials are shown.

The book Boeing B-50 by Hays is available via Amazon and has lots of details, many from the POH, in case you're looking for panel details like the posters on the FlyPast forum who are sorting out pieces from one that crashed in the UK.

Ok thanks for looking. By the way it's me who is looking to identify parts on the Flypast forum.
49-0270 crashed on take off from Bassingbourn in the UK on the 3rd February 1951 whilst with the 341BS 91BG M. Of the eight souls on board only three survived.

There is a display board dedicated to this crew and tragic accident hanging in the control tower museum at Bassingbourn, and I was hoping to add a photo of the actual aircraft.

If all else fails, I'm sure the folks around here could sort out exactly what the markings on the bird should have looked like. With that you could take the nicest B-50 picture you can find and get it photoshopped to represent the accident plane. Just be sure to label it an artist's impression and I think everyone could be okay with it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll hold out for an original a little while longer, although I believe '0270 was only around a year old when it crashed - so photos of it could be scarce.
