Just wondering if the museum has placed all their collection inside their new facilities yet? I know they started the process a while back. Great to see their collection coming inside!

Just three of the larger planes (RB-57, Privateer, and Caribou) have been moved to the bomber plant, everything else is still across the field at the temporary location used since the fire and the airpark. I attended the mid week airshow last week and we went over to the bomber plant and nothing was going on, no signs, no access and the Privateer was outside.

Much infrastructure work to do before an occupancy permit can be issued. The Privateer is outside so the crew can work on her, without the permit no work can be done inside. When the rest of the plant was tore down the Yankee section was left with no water, electric etc. So fundraising and construction continues.

Glad that someday the collection will be indoors. Its an impressive collection! I look at it this way though, they were not in the hangar when it went up in flames!

Positive waves, man..........

One thing that's great to see with Yankee is the museum beginning to acquire new aircraft again. The F-100 from Chanute is a nice addition, as is the new-build Waco they now give rides in. The museum did a great job restoring the F-4 and have done well sprucing up some of their other aircraft in recent years. I'm looking forward to when they are able to get all the aircraft under one roof.
