Great pictures,as always. Thanks Mark. Here are some pictures taken by Dave Kelly Jr. at Fox Field in Lancaster, CA. on October 30,2003 that were titled "The Last Hurrah".The title is appropriate because the tanker industry was totally destroyed the next spring for purposes that are still unclear. I was flying T62 at the time for Butler Aircraft and my c/p was Bob Webb if my memory hasn't failed me (again).

A small group, but interesting because in the background is one of the rare (almost) all-black B-29s. (I believe the tops of the flying surfaces and fuselage were NMF, but otherwise, as Mick sang, Paint It Black.)
