Oh man - i would trade my whole F-16 Viper West demo team collection to get the chance to sit in that cockpit! Can you imagine being able to sit in there while they moved it around?! I would have a looped track of concord engine noise, hit 'play' and just imagined the whole time :supz:

Too bad the specific date and time of the move wasn't publicized in advance. I'd have definitely used a sick day to drive down there for this! Still cool to see the video and it will be great to have all the X-planes over on the main museum campus. The X-15 might be my favorite in the entire collection.

It was, the museum website and FB page announced the move (and all the other aircraft that have been moved so far) and public viewing over a week ago. I know some WIXers who were there.

Pretty neat...glad a few were around to see the event.

I saw her fly several times while at Edwards including when she left there in early '69. Going purely on memory, was the year correct?

I clearly missed that, then. Oh well! Still cool to see photos and video.
