Just drove by Dover AFB (after hours, so could not stop) and it looks like the museum C-5A is nearing the end of a respray, and in the original paint! Delivery scheme of white top and gray underside, still had masks over the cheat line and cockpit, so could not tell much else. Best scheme by far for the C-5 (in my opinion) she should look great!

Thank you for posting that photo, hope they go for a full 1970's factory fresh scheme. Lots of paint!

looks like they are spray painting it outside. I thought that was not allowed due to environmental concerns. I wonder what type of paint are they using?

Man, that Galaxy will look great once they're done with it. So glad that they're going for the 'old school' two-color look, as that's what the very first C-5 I ever saw as a kid looked like.
As for painting it outdoors, I'd been to Dover several times when I was in the Army but I can't recall if they have a hangar (they're called AMUs, aren't they?) big enough to totally enclose a C-5 indoors. I thought they only had the ones where a portion of the plane sticks out of one end but I could easily be wrong about that.
