The Oakland Air Museum needs replacement wings for their KA-6D Intruder. The wings are badly corroded and need replacement. Any ideas?

Can EA-6B wings be used ?

Sorry no points of contact, but I offer:
1. Bone yard at Davis Monthan as the obvious choice. Hundreds of A-6/EA-6Bs in several catagories of long term store.
2. NAS Whidby Island. With the draw down of the EA-6B in Navy Service (Marines a few more years to go), there may be some non-flyers left there.
3. Naval Ballistics lab, China Lake, CA. A recent google maps overhead shows 3 A-6's in the ballistics lab bone yard without wings, but wings may be in one of the piles (but might be full of holes ). Castle Museum, the Midway museum and other museums have had some recent luck getting aircraft and parts from there.
4. Cherry Point.

In years past it seems the Oakland museum had a pretty good realtionship with the Navy- granted things were much easier when the Aviation depot was active at NAS Alameda....

@ Ethan: Don't know if the EA-6B wings would work or not - do you have a source?

@ Dirtysidedown - yes, Oakland CA - no longer Western Aerospace Museum, now Oakland Aviation Museum, housed in the old Boeing School of Aeronautics.

@ SanDiego89: I had understood that all the A-6s were gone from Davis-Monthan, we have someone checking China Lake. Holes in the wings can be patched, but the corrosion on our wings is extensive and would be difficult to repair. Yeah, all of our Navy aircraft came from NAS Alameda.

I have found out that the wings for the A-6A, B, C and E wings are all interchangeable with the KA-6D The search continues. I did check with a long time friend who worked on all A-6 models at Alameda Naval Air and he's a wealth of knowledge on the A-6.
