Happy Thanksgiving folks. Make it a nice one and a safe one ... all the best to you and yours

M

Here's the first of many birds over the next couple days ... Somewhat unusual setup IMO. Anyone care to elaborate?

I always thought the pitot tube on the TBF/TBM was on the left wing. First time I've ever seen it on the right wing. At first I thought maybe the image was reversed, but the radio room hatch and the .30 cal nose gun are in the correct places.

This Thanksgiving Turkey thread will be nothing but out of the ordinary type stuff. I'm quite sure all you guys are sick and tired of me posting the usual airplane photos.

Here's two more to match the first photo I posted. Pick up on what it is now?

As well as an interesting load out this Avenger appears to still be carrying the very early blue-gray over gray camo but with markings that are at least post summer of '43.
