Hello:

I'm new to posting for this forum - I'm the squadron leader of the Invader Squadron in Fort Worth, Texas. We are restoring and flying N240P, a 1944 Douglas Invader.

We have also been assigned a T-34B that we will take delivery on later in the year.

You probably know us as sharing a hangar with "Special Kay", the last flyable B-26K / A-26A.

Our next public appearance is at the "Warbirds on Parade" show in Lancaster TX on the 30th of August.

Looking forward to contributing to WIX,
Cheers,
Francis Govers

PS: my day job is working for BAE Systems on F-16's

Speaking of our hangar-mate Invader, here she is!

Nice picture - that is my Mustang 'Vert, as well (the Ford variety)

Thanks! :D

Hi Francis welcome to the board. I look forward to hearing more about your Invader and Mentor. I think it is awesome that the VFM hanger houses a "bookend" pair of Invaders.

Oh yeah! It's almost as pretty as my Dad's old 37 BS paint!

But seriously, that's a beautiful airplane. :supz: I'd love to see it in person someday.
