Hi,

As I aknowledge that your site "Warbirdnews" is a great source of news, I don't understand the interest to keep posting news here in separate subjets when a previous one juste a few subjects below this one already discusses the news ?

What's the goal of the new sub-section "Warbirds News" of this forum and why continue to post here ?

Regards

To receive more hits on his website. Its all for more "hits". I agree with you Iclo, but I get what he's doing. But it unnecessarily clogs up the main page at times.

As I am sure he copies and pastes the same post on numerous fora to generate hits, it is easier just to start a new post each time on each one rather than actually read and participate in each forum. If you look at his posting history it is a succession of posts advertising his own site, many of which concern topics already under discussion here for which there are existing threads running.

yep, nothing like re-posting what others have all ready covered, he does not contribute to a thread, only posts things from his own site, That is SPAM in my book and should be dealt with as such.

Just as a side note, the P-40B arrived after rebuild to Duxford in 2007 and not 2003:

Just for grins I checked both P-40 threads. IMO the link in the first post here was more informative that the link in the first post of the other P-40 thread. It does however seem redundant to have two threads on the same subject. If we're talking getting hits and promotional SPAM, quite a few WIX posters have auto sigs with links to their own sites. Not saying anything is wrong with it, just have to be careful pointing out one's promotion and not everyone else's promotion.....at least that was my initial thought. No worries....

Back on topic....after reading the above article (and assuming it is accurate), I did not know there were only two flying Pearl Harbor survivors out there. I knew about Chuck Greenhill's J2F-4 Duck. Didn't know about this particular P-40. That would be a pretty historic event to have both at an airshow and flying together.

I'm glad this one is back over on this side of the pond- it is nice to have an assortment of types at shows like Legends, but there are certain airframes which really should be in certain countries. MH434 belongs in Britain and should never leave, for instance... and a genuine Pearl Harbor veteran P-40 ought to be in the US.

I hope I get a chance to see her; the Collings folks seem to avoid the Hampton Roads area for some reason, which is regrettable, but perhaps they have their reasons.

A partnership was announced few weeks ago and a section just for Warbird News was created on the forum.
So why continuing to post new subjects here ? Perhaps he realized that posting in his own section will bring him little exposure ?

Really this forum become to be difficult to read with to much double subject and post with noting but a link to an another website.
