They show a B-1 on static display there. I'm surprised, since I didn't think any fighters were doing statics at shows this year. I sure hope it is there though! Doesn't look like they are doing the C-117 demo again this year. That was a great demo last time they did this airshow.

The B-1 is not confirmed yet, but hopefully it will make it to the show. Military static displays are only able to participate at military air shows this year and the confirmed list includes an A-10, C-5, C-17, C-130, F-16 and T-38.

Thunderbirds arrived earlier today and conducted their survey flight for the show.

Pray for good weather!

Anthony

I started my FAA career as an air traffic controller at YNG and have lots of good memories. I remember a year the Thunderbirds were there and started there flying routine and suddenly stopped and flew away from the area. Seems the used two yellow school buses as ground reference points. Visitor transportation was still in progress and you guessed it, they were using yellow school buses. On there first approach to airport after departure confusion took place with moving ground reference points.

Thanks Anthony! I didn't know about the A-10 and F-16 being on static. Weather looks good for Sunday, Saturday might be trouble. Do you know of any other planes that aren't listed on the site that are going to be there? Any warbirds not listed?

Thunder Pig should be leaving sometime soon to on the very short flight to head over to Youngstown, if it already hasn't. (I have not heard it yet)

It was a good, little show again this year. I think Sunday ended up over crowded because of the weather Saturday. Bummed out not to see Thunder Pig fly this time. First time seeing The Trojan Horsemen fly and they put on a great show! Love the sound of six T-28's in the air!!
