Sorry didn't pay attention to a couple of WIX threads already posted ... The link below states March 2014, At any rate sure hope it's not as bad as these photos look, but I'm afraid there looks to be a bit of damage in my amateur opinion.

there are 2 threads about it, you just missed it.

It's pretty bad, it will not buff out, the left wing spar is bent, the prop is destroyed, the engine will have to be rebuilt, there is structural damage in the front of the bomb bay/ oil cooler area, but it can all be fixed.

Yep! My bad. The one thread I saw and must have been dreaming of mermaids or something at the time, the other thread? Well I'll rack that up to not being in the know.

Sorry fellas, mods can dump it if you like.

Yes Mark the other threads all expressed the proper best wishes and concern/support, but I did'nt see any photos ( ? maybe I missed them ? ) but your 's is the first with a link to photos. I was ready for something worst, but still, they do have alot to fix, and of course, we all wish them the best. Anyone know if the Museum in Fredricksberg (?) Tx. Might help, or have any leads?

Those pictures are heartbreaking to look at. When you think of all the hours put in the bird....ugh!

If there is a silver lining, and I would say it is a very significant silver lining at that, it is that no one was hurt. Bent metal can always be fixed and replaced. Flesh and blood is far more irreplaceable.

Was there any luck in finding a replacement wing?
