Hey Guys!

As you may or may not know, we've been slowing refurbishing this Cessna O-2A BuNo 67-21318. Thanks to Tony Recine and his crew, they've done an amazing job at cleaning, repairing, and repainting the forward engine. Now there tackling the aft engine. There also beginning the prep work of cleaning the tail booms and tails. It won't be too long until the aircraft is ready to be fully assembled.

Tony also put an inquiry into the history of our bird and got this.

O-2A, s/n 67-21318

Manufactured by Cessna Aircraft, Wichita KS and gained by the USAF on 16 Jun 1967.
Jun 1967 To 504th Tactical Air Support Group (Pacific Air Forces), Da Nang AB Vietnam
Jun 1971 To Cam Ranh Bay AB Vietnam
Jul 1971 To 71st Tactical Air Support Group (Tactical Air Command), Bergstrom AFB TX (deployment to Cam Ranh Bay AB)
Jun 1974 To 602nd Tactical Air Control Group (TAC), Bergstrom AFB
Jul 1974 To 110th Tactical Air Support Group (Air National Guard), Kellogg Field MI
Jan 1975 To 163rd Tactical Air Support Group (ANG), Ontario MAP CA
Aug 1982 Dropped from inventory by transfer to US Navy (6221.4 hrs)

Does anyone have any pictures of our bird from her career? Or even shots of her brethren from the same squadrons? Any leads would be welcomed!

I remember her! I was in the 163rd TASGp in Ontario, and have dirtied my hands on her many times, while working in the phase docks, and later as a crew chief! I will search for photos from her ANG days in California.

Both Photographers have been kind enough to donate high resolution copies of those photos to the CASC in the past few months.
