NMUSAF Space Compartment to Open Feb 26th

The Museum's Space Shuttle Crew Compartment exhibit will open to the public on the 26th of February. Article can be found on the museum's website. Here are a couple of photos taken from the website.

Nice. Will really allow folks to get up close.

It would be great if a dummy wing could be put on one side. Not trying to nit pick, and I imagine it is to accomodate the American with Disabilities Act, but those ramps on both sides do detract from the display. Don't get me wrong, it will be great to have persons of all abilities access to the "shuttle", but it would be nice to have a dummy wing on one side and an unobstructed view.

Amazing that they built the majority of it in the museum. The only got the nose section to the forward wall of the cargo bay from NASA, the rest was built there.
Interesting about the hatch, are they letting people inside, or is it to be a clear plastic wall at the hatch so you can see the mid deck?
