Omaka Open Day

Today (Saturday) was the first Omaka Open Day of the year. These are held to raise funds for the Heritage Centre, and it gives the locals a chance to see what is happening out side the Classic Fighter airshow window. There will be a few more in 2014 before the run up to Classic Fighters at Easter 2015. Weather was glorious. Flyers were the Anson, Sopwith Pup, Nanchangs, Tiger Moth, Stearman & Fleet. The FW190 drew the crowds with a full power run up - groundshaking and deafening all at once!

Nice. Couldn't make it (again!) but did do a bit on the Auster so at least there was some aviation in my weekend! :D
