Due to the recently discovered ultra-rare ball turret side cap, I figured it might be helpfull to have a thread for similar things; See a special part on an auction site? Post it in this thread. You never know someone has been looking for it for a project.

Posting something you are bidding on to a group of like minded people who might want the same thing does not seem the best idea.

True, and I doubt anyone here would do that... however, for someone like myself, who's on "that site" daily looking for USAAF-related flight gear, if I spot a potentially useful item I'd be happy to post it over in that forum for folks who might be in need of such a thing. Case in point would be Taigh's PV-2... he's always on the hunt for period-correct hardware.

I think it's a good idea- it wouldn't have the same traffic as the WIX "front page" here but it might still be worth a shot.
