It is an old Microsoft Powerpoint presentation format for sure (I think Microsoft Powerpoint 2003). Usually, if you open it in Powerpoint, you can resave it in a newer format.
You can always open your file in Powerpoint and do a screen capture of the picture on your screen by pressing ALT-PrintScreen or something similar to that for your computer. Then save it in a picture format that way.
If you have Adobe Photoshop, that would be better. Send me a copy of the file and I can decompose it for you and send it back as JPGs or such.
