In the capital city of Mérida, in Yucatán, Mexico lies the Manuel Crescencio Rejón International Airport. A quick survey of the airport quickly revealed a graveyard that seems to be in some "thick" brush. Anyone have any other info? Looks like a DC-7 with maybe a few C-46s or C-47s.

Have a look on google earth, go back to 2005/2006 and there is less undergrowth, you can then see 4 x DC-3's, the DC-7 ? and 3 other smaller aircraft to the left of those 5

Thanks guys! So is there no interest to save these birds? Sucks to see them get covered up by the jungle!

What is being disassembled there on the edge of the heli-ramp--near the easternmost pad--about 200 yards north of the cluster of planes?"

L-188 Electra sans outboard engines?

Wings are too long to be an Electra. Possibly a Convair 580 or similar?

The same plane (apparently before being dismantled) appears ON the helipad H in the Bing maps version of this photo.

On the Bing maps the DC-6 is nearly hidden by trees and the C-47s are completely covered
