I hope someone restores it in the markings of Squadron Leader David Charles "Foob" Fairbanks an American, and one of only four RCAF personnel in World War II, who was awarded a British DFC and two Bars. He was the highest scoring Tempest Ace and that type's most decorated Pilot. Officially, he is credited with 13.5 aerial victories and 3 aircraft damaged. He had an exceptionally brilliant Air Force career and deserves to be recognized.
Cheers,
Tom Walsh.
