A WWII vet, flew yesterday in the same B-25 he did some of his wartime mission in. The CAF's B-25J "Maid in the Shade".
The story appears to have been by a non-aviation expert local affiliate reporter...so don't expect Classic Wings details...but still it's a good story that helps spread warbird news to the general public.

I've got to think a vet flying in his same aircraft 68 years later has got to be a rare thing....

The wartime pilot of Chris Prevost's P-40N flew in it recently. A grand old Fifth Fighter Command vet by the name of Robert Melikian.
