The aircraft that crashed is a vintage military aircraft. The plane, a 1963 Folland Gnat T.1 with tail number N18GT (formerly XS-105), was departing the airport at the time, according to the NTSB.

Sounds like the community lost a real pillar.
My condolences to the family.

My condolences. He seemed like a super nice man. He was way too old to be flying P.I.C. in such a "hot " aircraft.
