This was one of the VC 121's we still had in the 89th at Andrews AFB when I arrived there. When we flew it out to Davis-Monthan in 1968, a couple of our mechanics were back in the cabin, in flight, removing some last minute momentos for their private collections. One thing was a clock and airspeed indicator mounted together on the wall in the rear cabin. you can guess what happened when they disconnected the airspeed indicator in flight.
The cockpit crew was not too happy and had them reconnect the airspeed indicator until after they landed.
