I don't come here as often as I used to so I must have missed the directive, but what happened to all the avatars?

I was wondering the same thing. Mine went MIA a few years ago.

Ok. I found a corrupt file associated with the avatars. I have replaced the file and I can get my avatar to show up now. Please try and upload your avatars again and lets see if that works.

Unfortunately the database has apparently lost the associations with the old avatars so it can't find them. I had to clear the avatar directory and start fresh.
