Warbird Information Exchange

Many years ago, and I mean waaaaay back in the early 1960's, the VFW in El Reno, OK had a Douglas B-26 Invader sitting out front facing the highway. I remember that it was painted all black. I don't remember if it was a glass nosed version or a solid nose.. If it was glass, I think that it had been painted over.
If my rather feeble memory serves me correctly, it had post-1947 markings and all of the lettering/numbering was in red. If so, I wonder if this plane flew night missions in Korea?
Anyway, I know this bird was still there in the mid-1980's but I wonder if it still is?
Does anyone know, and if you do, do you know any history on the lady?

I have always hoped that someone has kept it from deteriorating any more as it was in pretty rough shape even back then. Perhaps even restored it to flying condition? I can but hope. And I do.

Also, back in the 1970's in Del City, OK, there was a city park that was right up against I-40 that had a Lockheed T-33A for the kids to play on. Of course, it's long gone now but I do wonder what happened to it.

Finally, Until a few years ago, the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds has several aircraft displayed on pylons that have since been removed, but I can't find out what happened to them.
One was the last B-52F built, serial number unknown. There was also a B-47E-II, a C-47 and the prototype of the Aero Commander Piston twin series, the Aero Design L.3805, nick-named the "Blue Goose" due to it's light blue paint scheme.
I have photos of them and I try to find them and put them up here.
I hope that someone can tell me what's happened to all of these planes.

Don't know how old the Google Maps pic is, but it appears the B-26 is still parked by the VFW in El Reno. Appears all silver.

RCONNER, the B-52 and the B-47 were removed from the pylons at the Oklahoma Fairgrounds around 2006/2006. B-52F 57-0038 went to the Palmdale Airpark in California, and B-47E 51-2387 went to the Kansas Aviation Museum. Glad both survived.

The Aero Commander and the C-47 were taken to some trade school in OKC. They are still there somewhere in town.
