For the first time since WW2 a Mitsubishi Zero-sen with original Sakai 21 engine moves on its own power in Tokyo, Japan.

The aircraft was shipped from the PoF museum for a special 100 anniversary of Japanese aviation event.
Quote:
Event is part of the exhibition "100 years of Japanese aviation technology" that will hold the same memorial. In December last year, borrowed from the Plains of Fame Air Museum in California that owns the aircraft called "number 61-120 aircraft." The exhibition was scheduled until October 31, extension of time is determined by the end of August this year, such as the local demand, self-running event of the day was held.

Here is report with video in Asahi newspaper, and the Google translation.

For Japan this still is a massive event, even if just taxiing around.

PS, best I can tell, unrelated to Japanese owned Zero attempt to have his fly over Japan.
