Sorry if this is a repeat...I didn't see anything on the forum.
Robert Coverse passed away yesterday after a long and somewhat painful battle. Ironically he was scheduled for a lung transplant in the next couple of weeks, but apparently something happened over the weekend and he went downhilll quickly.
Robert had a lot of fun at the hands of his P-51 Huntress III for several years and I am sad to see him go.
Robert had been diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension, which hardens the arteries in the lungs and makes the heart work harder. Unfortunately there is no cure, and treatment seems to just buy time. PH made him give up his career with the airline and is the reason he sold Huntress III. He was on the waiting list for a lung transplant, but it didn't come soon enough. He died of heart failure this past Sunday, the 14th.
I'm trying to raise awareness about PH, Robert, and at least now, Honey, there's nothing to prevent you from flying. I miss you already.
