Headlines say he was killed in the Bahamas flying dope but he may have been working undercover for the DEA, though no one with the govt has ever confirmed it.

There is argument to that story, it would seem. Looks like he may very well have been doing it at the behest of our government, in an attempt to infiltrate a drug cartel. But you never know, eh?

I own 4 rare USAF korean photos of flightgear/pilots that were issused as press releases. They are rare and one shows a ALSE room with pilots kitting up for a Mig run and inside the room is Joesph McConnell flight helmet i found one day when i turned the photo upside down.

As additional information, Pete Fernandez flew with TAN Airlines in Honduras for a little over a year.

Gee Jaldo, that was sure worth waiting six years to find out.

Google Translator says "Jaldo" is spanish for "Rip Van Winkle".

I think Jack lurks here from time to time.
He is sorely missed. The above photo is but one example of his great contributions.

We had a hand in a movie starring Dennis Hopper about this guy.It was chino around 91 and we were loading bales of hay wrapped in black plastic trash bags in a 123 when a DEA plane taxied by.There was nothing but eyeballs on the co pilot side as they taxied past. They were less than amused and we laughed our a sses off.
