On subject of Catalina...I have been informed that the Qantas Museum at Longreach QLD is progressing ahead with its overhaul/restoration of their Catalina. For the moment it is being restored to a wartime configuration which will see blisters added and the water tank internally removed at some point hopefully. Engine overhaul and repairs are underway as time permits.

It may in the future depending on funding and progress, go further than being a static exhibit but this will depend on many conditions.

Additionally the museum is still looking at acquiring a rare Constellation project to complement the Qantas heritage already there but more will be released on this when they are ready to do so.
