I was watching a music video on Youtube when a brief video of an aircraft being blown up comes on. Just wondering about the specifics. Maybe a B-29 at a weapons test sight like China Lake?

I don't think the a/c was blown up. I've run the video back and forth a frame at a time and, although it happens very quickly, I'm convinced that all the explosions took place in the foreground. Between the camera and the a/c. The answer to "where", I can't begin to guess.

Mudge the eagle eye

Where? Dunno, but it looks to be too green for China Lake. Maybe some other weapons range as you suggest.

The band's been on my radar for few years with an I-pod(?) commercial and then another tune was picked up for a Heineken video. This one is not so catchy and it looks like they're getting away from their earlier retro-hippie badge...

Too much vegetation for China Lake. China Lake is in the desert.

The desert gets surprisingly green after it rains.

Here is a random landscape of the area around China Lake

I lived in S. California for 35 years and spent a lot of time in the high desert around China Lake. I know the desert can get green in the winter when it rains a lot. But the desert doesn't have grass like that. That almost looks like prairie grass.

I'm thinking Aberdeen Proving Grounds. Definitely grassy enough and the dirt content would be consistent with the coastal plain that Aberdeen sits on.

Maybe a TU-4 somewhere in the old Soviet Union or Eastern Europe?

Watched about 1:45 of the 'music?' video, as far as I'm aware you're supposed to sing on the notes, not parallel to them and I wasn't aware until this that there were any gray note in music. :? :|

Thanks for the replies. I was watching another video and saw this which looks a lot like the first pic. This one is definitely of Aberdeen.
