"....due to noise complaints from the surrounding community, the promoter scaled back displays at this years Air Show with a corresponding drop in attendance....the promoter will issue a press statement in the near future about next years show.........." :lol: pop2 :wink: :spit

Odd, CG-4/GC-15s flying post war...and towed by C-82s.
We all know the USAF did use some gliders (primarily for rescue), but details and photos are sparse.

There was a lot of budget cutbacks in those years.
Pilots jumped at any chance to get some time behind the stick while an aircraft was in motion.

I've seen a photo of a USAF C-119 towing a British Horsa glider over the airfield of RAF Abingdon which dates from the period when the C-119 were also being used to airdrop British Heavey drop platforms.

You're correct, the USAF loaned a C-119 to the RAF/RAE...it was often used for photo work.
