Looking at the fine work taking place on the TBM thread currently on the WIX, got me to wondering what other TBM's are currently being restored out there?

Harland Avezzie, in Westfield, Mass, has a TBF under restoration, but it will be a few more years before it comes together fully.
He's been so busy restoring TBM, B-25 and B-17 turrets that he doesn't get enough time to work on his "real" Grumman Avenger!!!

Canadian Warplane Heritage is in the middle of returning a Turkey to the skies.
It's to be restored in the two-tone grey Royal Canadian Navy ASW scheme.

Florida CAF and Valiant Air Command are both working on restorations to fly. CAF maybe next year and VAC this year.

Fantasy of Flight is flying theirs but it needs paint.

WIX-er Charlie Cartledge was rebuilding one in Ohio as of a few years ago. Not sure if it's still being worked on.

Here are a couple of shots from the summer of our TBM restoration. Much work has been completed since then.

It will be painted as '324' with the Canadian canopy and registered C-GCWG.

Any idea if Yanks has an authentic TBF turret for their Avenger? I ran into a guy some time ago that had a TBF unit, but wouldn't sell because he only wanted it to be fitted to an authentic TBF. I could probably track it down if Yanks is planning to retrofit a TBM unit.

Time to resurrect a thread..... I found this the other night.... completely by accident.......... an update on Charlie's TBM, by his sister! It looks like he is getting really close........
Sorry to post just the link, but I have not (yet) asked permission to pull and post the photos on the blog.... I believe there is a total of 11 pictures.... Charlie, thanks for all of the hard work........It looks immaculate!
