The newest edition of "Flight Journal" magazine has a razorback P-47 on the cover (see below) which I'm guessing must be the PoF example. However, I don't remember it ever carrying these markings. Temporary paint job for the photos? Or maybe this is the ex-Little Demon when it was briefly owned by LSFM some years back? Just wondering as I had never seen pics of a restored razorback in these colors.

It is indeed the POF example, in temporary paint when photographed by John Dibbs. The markings were in honor of Lt. Cameron Hart of the 63rd FS, 56th FG. I don't recall how long ago, nor for what period of time, the aircraft was painted like that. The aircraft, in those colors, was also the subject of another Flight Journal cover a few years ago.

Thanks for the info John. Some research has uncovered that it appeared in FJ in these markings back in 2004 originally.
